Hospice of the Sandias is an important part of the New Mexico community – we are locally owned and operated. Hospice of the Sandias is part of the continuum of exceptional quality care and is affiliated with Laurel Healthcare’s skilled nursing facilities. We are committed to delivering uncompromised excellence in hospice services wherever you need them, whether that is in your home, at a nursing facility, or in an inpatient facility. Hospice care is covered under the Medicare hospice benefit (HMB) for those with the Medicare part A benefit, Medicaid, and most private insurances. We can help you determine coverage programs and policies if desired.

Hospice of the Sandias, LLC, provides palliative and supportive care to people and their families who are facing an incurable illness – and who have a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Most of us are familiar with the aggressive approach to medical care – but when medical treatment cannot cure your illness, we will guide you through the rest of your journey.

Hospice of the Sandias’ mission is to provide comprehensive, coordinated care to individuals with life-limiting illnesses and to their families, without regard to race, color, national origin, disability, or age, required by Federal Law. We also support them in the process of death and bereavement.

Hospice of the Sandias has a simple philosophy: we take a holistic approach to the care of each individual and family throughout the terminal illness and beyond. We focus on your emotional and physical comfort so that you can focus on living life to the fullest – everyday.
